Tim Wilmot asks for Report to the Crown Prosecution Service

Before a Crown Court Trial takes place,
there are a number of preliminary Hearings.

At one of these,
Tim Wilmot asked for a copy
of Detective Inspector Draper's Report to the CPS dated 08 JUN 92.

The barrister, confusing it with the normal police evidence in the case,
happily said "Yes!"

Tim Wilmot had caught sight of the CPS solicitor behind him
having a fit or seizure
as the enormity of what had just been promised
dawned upon her.

So Tim Wilmot asked the Judge
if he might collect it from the CPS that day.

The Judge said that it would be posted to him.

When Tim Wilmot again said he would like to collect it that day
from the CPS offices just down the road from the Court,
as promises made in Court were not always honoured,
the Judge got quite excited,
so Tim Wilmot had to leave it there.
